Mining Industrial Resource Supplies Pty Ltd. (M.I.R.S) was established in Perth, Western Australia in 1994 primarily to service the West Australian mining and resource industry. Since that time M.I.R.S has expanded it's distribution network throughout Australia and by the third quarter of 1997 will have Technical services branches in most Australian capital cities as support bases for the growing distribution network.

The "flagship" for the M.I.R.S organization is the distribution of the Contitech conveyor products in particular the conveyor belt range. Contitech is recognized world wide as a leader in conveyor belt technology and has installations world wide. Recent innovations such as the DOBA (Double Band Press) and the recent introduction of in built Transponder systems has kept Contitech at the forefront of their field.

A recent addition to the M.I.R.S range has been the Camwall high incline belt capable of carrying material up to a 90 degree incline. Unlike other conventional high incline belts the Camwall product is fully molded thus the occurrence of sidewall or cleat separation from the base is totally eliminated. Camwall belts have been used successfully in the United States for many years and recent installations in Australia have shown the excellent performance given by this product.

M.I.R.S also offers full Design and Technical services backed up by facilities offered by both Contitech and Camwall International. Services cover from system design, belt and cover recommendations through to recommended splice materials and patterns as well as general systems analysis and belt type consolidation.

M.I.R.S also carry a full range of stock Contitech belting from 3ply to 5ply in either slit or blanket widths up to 1650mm wide. With the installation of a new calendar at Contitech in Germany in September 1997 blanket widths up to 2100mm wide will be available ex stock. All belt is available with full test certificates and complies with both Australian and German (DIN) standards. Cover grade exceeds both AS-M and DIN "X" specifications.
